Today we tested a few designs to verify the proposed results in our paper. In order to do this, we used a bucket filled with sand which sat upon a Vernier force plate. We removed theight adjustment pipe from our standard aluminum crutch and placed a 25kg weight on top of the pipe to apply consistent pressure.
A total of 5 designs were testes, including the standard crutch foot as well as 4 of our own designs. Results were very positive and helpful.
Later we will be doing mud tests to verify performance in an environment closer to what would be in found in Bangladesh.
